State of Play Zero Alcohol Beer

What if we told you that State of Play’s Zero Alcohol Beer is the fastest growing beer brand in New Zealand? This is actually following European trends where non-alcoholic beers are booming in popularity. Consumers are increasingly looking for an alcohol-free alternative that still tastes like beer but won’t get them in trouble!

State of Play is New Zealand’s fastest growing brewery and only dedicated non-alcoholic brand. It was also the most awarded non-alcoholic brewery at the Australian International Beer Awards held in Melbourne held in May 2024. The brand is growing at 77% per annum, double the segment growth rate and the product is naturally brewed (not alcohol removed) and is low in sugar at only 59 calories per can! It's also the ONLY non-alcoholic mixed 6 pack available in Australia and New Zealand.

Brewed the natural way with a special yeast that produces a miniscule amount of alcohol, it tastes the way beer should. Other mainstream zero beers utilise a process that strips the beer of alcohol, but that means the flavour of the hops and malt are always removed. But not with State of Play. It’s not as simple a process, but it certainly produces a tastier drop.

Available in three varieties: State of Play IPA (less than 0.5% alcohol), a hoppy non-alcoholic Pale Ale, and the ginger, honey and lime-infused Sunbreaker Ale.
