Sometimes the simplest ideas are the ones that seem to have been left behind. And then, along comes a smart entrepreneur who identifies the niche and turns it into a powerhouse of innovation and clever diversity. The Lepack team are continually growing their range of pre-packed breakfast and snack Packs to meet demand and it seems there’s always another bright new idea over the horizon.
FFW: What did your product range initially start with?
LE PACK: Complete and Mini Breakfast Packs were originally the only packs available, followed by a few Snack Packs then On the Go Breakfast Packs. Now our extensive range includes our Deluxe pack, Complete PLUS pack and Complete packs are also proving very popular.
FFW: What problems did you identify that Lepack is now addressing with its range?
LE PACK: We aim to get the longest possible shelf life; keeping products not needing refrigeration is a big plus. We always use well-known brands, catering for customers’ individual needs and specialised packs if need be, and healthy options. We have our new range of Australiana themed boxes as an option to use with our Breakfast pack range.
FFW: How are Le Pack products cost-effective for your customers?
LE PACK: With Breakfast Packs starting from as low as $3.75+gst and Snack Packs from $3.45+get our packs prove to be a quick and easy convenience, saving time, money and wastage. No more staff having to be up early to provide breakfast; just leave packs in the room the night before. We offer free room tent cards and counter display for Receptions which help. Our advertising packs are well received.
FFW: For what kinds of businesses are Le Pack Breakfast Packs ideal?
LE PACK: Le Pack is the preferred supplier for many hotels, motels, resorts, caravan parks, airlines, tour companies, event planners Australia-wide. Our packs give the accommodation house an additional income or an add-on with minimal work needed by them to achieve this.
FFW: What kind of feedback do you receive from hospitality operators?
LE PACK: We constantly get positive feedback on our excellent service; standard orders placed by noon are dispatched the same day, which pleases our customers. We have great customer relations as we are a family owned and operated business. We not only take the orders but oversee them right through to dispatch in our own HACCP approved premises.
FFW: Your Snack Pack range is the most recent addition to Le Pack; where are these finding their sweet spot?
LE PACK: Our On the Go Liquid Breakfast Packs are proving popular for patrons who have early checkout due to appointments or early flights as they can just grab the pack and go. Tour groups like our Snack Pack range as they are very economical per head, light weight, compact and easy for placing in backpacks. Conference and Trade Fair organisers like the fact that the delegates can each have their own pack and eat at their leisure throughout the day while keeping contents contained.
FFW: Can you tell us a little about your company’s virtues such as the brands and suppliers you use, the philosophy behind your brand and any dietary issues you address?
LE PACK: We only use products from well known suppliers such as Uncle Toby’s, Brookfarm, Kellogg’s, Pauls and Heinz, to name a few. We customise packs to cover dietary needs if necessary.
FFW: Aside from retail and foodservice, do you supply Le Pack products to corporate clients or other sectors?
LE PACK: Often corporate clients need Breakfast and Snack Packs for in house catering. Schools use our packs for boarders or day trips or camps; hospitals use our packs for patients sleeping over for tests. The use of our packs is endless.
FFW: For any potential customers reading this page, what is the best piece of advice you can offer as to how Le Pack will help their business?
LE PACK: We believe we can offer their business an easy way to secure that extra add-on sale with little or no effort on their part. They are cost effective in saving staff wages by staff not having to start early to prepare meals and then clean up plates etc from rooms – our packs mean no mess and no fuss.
